Feed The Children International's programming approach is based on integrated and sustainable child-focused community development.

These 6 values are at the core of FTCI's work.

  1. Child Focussed - All FTCI programs and projects will directly improve the lives of each child we serve.
  2. Integrated and Holistic - FTCI will adopt an integrated and holistic approach, based on an understanding of the root causes of problems.
  3. Gender and Culture Sensitive - FTCI is deeply sensitive to gender and cultural issues specific to the targeted community.
  4. Participative/Empowering - All program/project interventions will ensure active involvement and participation of beneficiaries and other stakeholders in the community.
  5. Sustainable - FTCI will strive for sustainability and encourage the children, adults and communities it is serving to do the same, especially beyond FTCI's interventions.
  6. Effectiveness - All FTCI programs and projects will meet the SMART criteria (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Time-bound)
    FTCI will consistently strive to run its programs and projects to achieve objectives and realize optimum result for its beneficiaries.
