Who We Are

From its beginning in 1979 as a child-feeding program in Haiti, Feed The Children International's network is now composed of 21 affiliate humanitarian organizations.

Founded by Larry Jones, FTC focuses on rescuing children from the effects of poverty and disease, providing their basic needs, and protecting the rights of every child. It is now serving disadvantaged children in 14 countries in four regions of the world:

Africa: Angola, Ethiopia, Kenya, South Africa, and Uganda.

Asia: People’s Republic of China, Philippines, and Thailand.

Europe: Romania.

Latin America and the Caribbean: : El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras and Nicaragua.

FTC also ran programs in Albania/Kosovo, Russia and Sierra Leone. Its affiliates in the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Japan, The Netherlands, Canada and the USA are principally engaged in raising resources to support programs. FTCI-Asia, based in the Philippines, is coordinating resource development in Asia.
